Only three songs long – Alex Dietrich, Daniel Eberharter, Julie Hill, Lena Bischoffshausen, Lukas Meixner, Sophie Mercedes Köchert, Thiare Galleguillos

“Only Three Songs Long” is a group exhibition on the theme of analog concert photography. Shown are selected and unpublished darkroom prints from live concerts. The group of artists is composed of seven female and seven male photographers who have contributed images for this exhibition. The title of the exhibition refers to rules such as bans on flash or cell phones, guidelines for times when photographs may be taken, or obstacles such as a crowd of people standing in one’s way. “Almost always, photography with flash is prohibited. In many places there are separate areas for photographers – like trenches in front of the stage. Often only the first three songs are allowed to be photographed” (wien.orf.at 2019). It takes courage and timing to expose a single photo or even an entire film at small or large concerts.

Cell phone photos: What’s allowed at concerts. (wien.orf.at 2019)

Opening: 10.09.2021, 17:00 – 23:00

Exhibition opening: 11.-17.09.2021  10:00- 16:00, up to 01.10.2021 on request
