What is true on the Inside might as well be true on the Outside

The exhibition “What is true on the Inside might as well be true on the Outside” by Martina Lajczak shows photographs taken during the renovation of the parliament building on Vienna’s Ringstraße. The selection comes from an extensive series created and edited by the artist over several months. Lajczak’s photos are more or less marked by the handling of the material and thus refer to the photographic process, creating an arc between photography itself and reflections on the current political situation in Austria.

GIF is a temporary exhibition space in a former shop at the Gemeindebau Rabenhof, opened by graphic designer Lena Appl and photographer Robert Vanis in the spring of 2022. Exhibitions and events with a focus on graphic design and photography take place at irregular intervals in two exhibition booths.
