Ghost Stories
“Through this series, I investigate the found image: its future presentations, transformations and authorship.” Found imagery has the potential to distort fact and fiction. It can organise and visually exemplify thoughts and tales. Assembling these fragments, collecting, re-telling and re-presenting them, “Ghost Stories” contemplates transitions in narrative, the ownership of images and the memories they hold.
Yasmin Nebenführ is an Australian photomedia artist based in Berlin, Germany. Her experimental practice incorporates distorting and re-presenting collected, found images.
