Using his project “Now is not the right time” – which he showed at the last Off Grid – Peter Pflügler talks about the transformative power of hidden trauma. How do the dark spots in our family history affect us, how does trauma manifest itself and how is it transmitted from generation to generation? What role can photography play in trying to make the invisible visible? In his work, Pflügler approaches his personal family secret by investigating its traces. In a mixture of lecture, book presentation and live performance, he wants to enter into a dialogue and question the silence.
