Festival Headquarters (GREEN DOOR artists space & gallery, Kempelengasse 8, 1100 Vienna)

Together we want to develop a collection of fictional spatial visions and initiate a deconstruction of Kempelengasse. Through found objects, shadows and light, we will question the given, distort material realities and perhaps discover new ones through cyanotopy, frottage and drawing. Inspiration is the area on which we are located and the exhibited works by the OFF GRID artists. We want to understand the place as an embedded, connected and complex ecology. What does this place look like? What kind of life is possible here? How does the place feel? What criticism can we read in it? We approach the artistic works through methods of spatial perception and work analysis. In one part of the study, the photographic process of cyanotopy is presented. Only two non-toxic chemicals, sunlight and water, are used. The aim of the collection is to make the process of investigation visible. A place will be provided on the festival grounds to arrange and expand what has been created together.
